Summerdown x Bombay Sapphire introduce 'The Page Turner' cocktail

Calum, Bombay Sapphire's Advocacy Host showing the Summerdown team how to make the cocktail.

An exciting Hampshire collaboration

To mark National Tea Day this year, we didn’t just want to wax lyrical about our award-winning, restorative herbal teas – Peppermint, Peppermint & Camomile, and Camomile – we wanted to share something a little special with you.

We’re thrilled to reveal an exclusive Spring collaboration: Summerdown x Bombay Sapphire.

Yes, the world-renowned gin distillery, just down the road from us here in Hampshire, has created a refreshing new cocktail 'The Page Turner: Chapter Two', using our peppermint tea – and it’s a perfect nod to the season.

Crafted to celebrate the Winchester Books Festival

Crafted specially to celebrate the upcoming Winchester Books Festival (25th–27th April), this beautifully balanced cocktail is a celebration of flavour and local collaboration.

The literary-inspired tipple will be served throughout the Books Festival and is now on the menu at the home of Bombay, the Bombay Sapphire Distillery in Hampshire.

And the best bit? It’s super easy to make at home. All you need is a simple peppermint syrup made using our tea. A refreshing cocktail, ideal for those calm, balmy evenings and upcoming Bank Holidays.

The recipe

Peppermint Syrup
Brew 3 Summerdown Peppermint tea bags in 400ml boiling water

Add 800g sugar and stir until dissolved
Let cool, then strain into a bottle and store in the fridge

The Cocktail
10ml of 2:1 peppermint syrup (Summerdown infusion as above)
10ml fresh lemon juice
Stir
25ml Bombay Sapphire gin
Ice
Garnish with a mint sprig and a lemon wheel
Stir and sip – and enjoy a moment of calm.
Cheers to tea, stories, and Spring!
