A natural mood booster

This Mental Health Awareness week, we wanted to share the natural powers of peppermint. Known to have many therapeutic effects, one of these is its ability to lift moods. In April 2016, researchers from the University of Northumbria’s Department of psychology published their findings that peppermint enhanced and aroused both mood and cognition, helping to improve long term memory, working memory and alertness. Whilst Studies at the Sense of Smell Institute confirm that peppermint oil has mood-elevating properties that make it useful for alleviating symptoms of anxiety and depression.
