Proud to support the Farming Community Network

Proud to support the Farming Community Network this Stress Awareness Month

Farming is more than a job - it’s a way of life. It’s deeply rewarding, rooted in purpose and connection to the land, but it can also be demanding, uncertain and at times, isolating.

For several years, we’ve proudly supported the Farming Community Network (FCN) - a charity that offers free, confidential support to farmers and their families across the UK. Their volunteers truly understand the realities of farming life and are there to listen, whatever the challenge.

Supporting FCN: 10% of online sales this week

To help raise both awareness and funds for FCN, we’ll be donating 10% of all online sales next week (w/c 13th April) directly to the charity.

There’s nothing you need to do - we’ll automatically make the donation on your behalf. So if you’ve been thinking about placing an order, this week is the perfect time to do so, knowing your purchase will help support those who support the farming community.

Why this matters

We’re highlighting FCN this week as part of Stress Awareness Month, a time to encourage open conversations around wellbeing and mental health.

Farming is a brilliant industry and one we’re incredibly proud to be part of. Farmers do so much for food production and for the countryside, often working long hours in all weathers, much of it alone. Even in the best of times, the work can be physically and mentally demanding.

That’s where FCN plays such a vital role-  offering a listening ear, understanding and practical support from people who truly get it.

Help spread the word

If you know someone in the farming community who might benefit from speaking to FCN, please help us share their details:

FCN Helpline: 03000 111 999
Open: 7am – 11pm, every day
Find out more: www.fcn.org.uk | www.farmwell.org.uk

Support is free, confidential and available to farmers, farm workers and their families throughout the UK.

Thank you for supporting us - and them

When you shop with Summerdown, you’re supporting British farming and a wider network of people who care deeply about the land and those who work it. This week, that support goes a little further.

Thank you for being part of it.
