WHY THE MEADOW?
Book the whole site and you get: 4 handcrafted shepherd's huts, each with its own woodfired hot tub, dotted around the meadow; the pavilion, with 2 double bedrooms, 2 shower rooms, a full catering kitchen and an open plan kitchen, dining and living space.
Sleeps up to 12 across the site, so nobody is squeezed into a spare room or a sofa bed.
THE SETTING
This isn't a hotel with rooms to fill. It's your own corner of the farm, with the huts and the Pavilion working together as one place to cook, eat and stay up too late talking.
Summerdown is a family-run, regenerative farm in Hampshire, best known as home to our Black Mitcham peppermint. The Meadow sits at the heart of it, a field away from where that peppermint grows. Days here move at farm pace. Evenings mean a woodburner, a hot tub under the stars and the kind of quiet you don't get at home.
At the centre of the site stands The Pavilion, once the estate's cricket pavilion and now thoughtfully restored using timber from the farm itself. High, vaulted ceilings, warm wood and beautiful stone floors sit alongside a woodburner that anchors the space in every season. It's where the group naturally gathers: for breakfast before a walk, for a long lunch after a lazy morning or for the main event itself.
WHO'S IT FOR?
The Meadow was built for people who want somewhere unusual and unique, not another cottage. It suits:
